Sketch: The Christie Fit by VS
Okay, I really have to get down to making a list of small publishers that I want to approach/attack/harrass/hound soon.
I journalled this immediately when I woke up at 7:16am (while everything was still in my head) — so I don’t really have a good reason for blogging it, but oh well.
Most of this is word-for-word as I first wrote it…I like to keep it unpolished sometimes, heh.
Two nights ago.

$%^&. Sometimes I hate being an ethical person. I didn’t say I’m like a saint ;)
But yeah, why can’t I write a “safe” book? Why can’t I take the easy way out with things? Why can’t I write just to make money? Why do I actually care so much for a book, and the audience that might/will be reading, whatever the demographics? Why am I still pursuing this when I’ve been collecting rejection after rejection like snowflakes during a blizzard for the past four months?

Now I know I’m being terribly lazy snapping a (pixelated) picture of this instead of scanning it, but oh well. I’m not too happy with the boat, so I think I’m going to draw JUST the boat soon.
My right little finger is making me insane…old piano injury, lol.
By the way the pic was referenced to (a lithograph by T. C. Chui), as I’m still learning…
// 22 Dec –

Again, I am too lazy to scan in (it’s a huge sketchbook, mm’kay), and this was referenced from a Kitty 2008 Calendar I have (full of awesomeness). Thus far, I’ve never been able to draw a decent-looking cat, and I tried out many sketches and whatnot (to the right side of the pic), along the way in a bid to try and get things right.
+ dark strokes filter on photoshop. If I scan this in and the scan is alright, then I guess I might upload it, just to compare them side by side.

That’s the writing for the Dragon haiku set I was talking about yesterday.

And that’s the watercolour I was talking about yesterday too, lol.
I spent most of the day in front of the computer today, which is terrible. So I actually made a timetable and hope to high heaven I’ll stick to it tomorrow. I made one yesterday and everything did work out, so I hope it repeats again.

Whenever I write haikus, I tend to write them in one set, ten at one go. I’ve been wanting to write a dragon set since forever, and I finally did so last night whilst listening to The Chemical Brothers, and The Ramones. Their influence is quite evident if you know the artistes…
Anyway, here they are on the main site.
I tend to write poems/write in general in a rather blitz manner. That will follow by a quiet spell of a few days/weeks/months (shiver me timbers!) sometimes.
I know there’s probably a lot of dragon poetry on deviantArt, so I’ll be looking out for some, soon.
And I haven’t done any colouring in forever, so I’ll hopefully get on that this afternoon.
As with preparing material (labels and stuff) for another batch of agents *groan*.

I am rather melancholic today.
This image inspired a 100-word (I like to keep it compact sometimes) little thing yesterday…don’t really know what I’m gonna do with it just yet, heh.

Dark Spire, by I-NetGraFX
[The Steeple]
Perched high, drops of mercury fell upon her glistening back. All of life had come to a standstill, all of life was crowded onto a single point.
One claw teetered over the edge, right wing held out for some balance. She saw him, circling mid-air, silvery-black in the distance.
The city was depending on them. Here they were, leaving.
Let’s go, he cried out to her.
With a last look at the city they had spent the last 16 winters in, she took off into the starless, midnight amber sky.
Stay safe, she silently wished.
With them, Hope was gone.
